As a Nutritional therapy Practitioner I am interested in you; your life, your family history, your medical history, what you eat, your exercise levels, your exposure to stress, your potential exposure to unwanted chemicals, how well you sleep, how well your digestive system works and how you feel.

All of this information is gathered during the consultation process.  This helps give me vital clues as to what may have initiated the onset of your symptoms or illness so we can get to the root cause.  It also helps me to design a tailor-made health and lifestyle programme to help you on the road to achieving your health goals and feeling better.

The Consultations

STEP 1: If you decide that Nutritional Therapy is right for you, we’ll arrange our first appointment at a time to suit you. The first consultation lasts about 60-90 minutes, during which we will review your overall health, lifestyle and nutritional status. We will also recommend any further investigations or laboratory tests that would be appropriate to your specific health issues to help us pinpoint the underlying causes of your particular illness or symptoms.  We will also start to work together to formulate your individualized therapeutic diet and lifestyle programme which will include dietary changes and lifestyle advice. In addition, you will be given any relevant handouts, menu plans and healthy recipe ideas to support these suggestions.

STEP 2: During the second 30-40 minute consultation, we’ll explain the results of any laboratory tests that were carried out and how these relate to you and the most likely causes of your health issues. We will use any results and discuss any changes required to your diet and lifestyle programme.  Where needed this may include nutritional supplements to help accelerate healing and correct any nutrient imbalances.  We also offer support throughout the consultation process and nutritional programme, to guide or assist you when you need it. This can be via email or phone as agreed with you.

STEP 3: Further consultations can be scheduled to monitor your progress. The number of these is dependent on the complexity of your health problems and the amount of support you would like or need from us. Most clients find they need at least one. We can also design an ongoing wellness programme to be reviewed and updated twice a year.
